Modes of transport

At Transdev we believe that public transport plays an important part in how a city comes to life. Our day to day work influences our families, friends and future generations where they live, work and play. With our global network consisting of 83,000 employees in 19 different countries, our success and continued growth lies in our customer and client focus, our commitment to innovation and provision of safe travel. In Australasia, which covers Australia and New Zealand, we have 5,760 employees operating 2,150 vehicles and vessels which deliver more than 145 million customer journeys each year.

Our Shareholders

Transdev is owned by Caisse des Dépôts and Veolia Environnement. As its majority shareholder and long-term financial partner, Caisse des Dépôts provides Transdev with solid, lasting support. The two groups share the same public interest values, and the same purpose: to support the economic development of all regions.

Global Expertise

With a network extending across five continents, Transdev is built on two foundations: local roots and global resources. Through its business activities Transdev is closely involved in its regions and maintains long-lasting relations with its customers, who include regional authorities.

Our international presence provides us with a clear perspective on international trends as well as access to global resources and innovations along with our international experience. We work closely with our people on the ground that have a strong understanding of local expectations and needs, as well as the challenges and opportunities faced by the travelling public and local authorities.

We have the industry’s widest multimodal experience, covering different modes of transport including bus, heavy and light rail, ferry, coach, car-sharing, paratransit, shared-ride, airport shuttle, bicycle and taxi.
